I'm wondering, the email message a few days ago was pretty fuzzy - do you think EVERYONE that had a Feb 2 deadline will hear back today, even if they don't get a scholarship? 172/4.0 here, hoping for a scholly, but hoping more just to hear today regardless...
I have the Feb 13 deadline. The email I got said that everyone being considered would hear on the 23rd, regardless of award. So hopefully we'll hear today anyway.

Does Georgetown give full scholarships?

yes, check out the LSAC profile, not an unsubstantial amount of full and half-scholarships
A full tuition scholarship would be phenomenal. Likely out of my reach, but still. That would be incredible.

Oh man, I'm very antsy. I tried to make it clear in my application that I would attend if given enough money- Gtown is a great school for me, but I'd have to turn it down if they don't give me a lot. My numbers aren't as strong as some of yours, though, so I'm probably not in the running for the big ones... but still hoping!

Good luck everyone!

Yep, I'm in the same boat. I have a ton of connections in the DC area, but I just couldn't justify choosing it over UVA, Penn, NYU, or Michigan (w/ a Dean's Scholarship) without a substantial amount of money...

Well, lets not get all pessimistic yet. It could still happen today. It's only 2.

Not if they want to get out of DC at a reasonable hour.

*hopes the admissions staff wants to get out at a reasonable hour* :/

Lol, the admissions email addy still has their President's Day auto-responder up. That seems like a less than great sign...

(I emailed them about something else, not scholarships, I'm not that dense.)

I wouldn't be at all surprised if we got an e-mail in a few hours letting us know that it will be a few more days a la the admitted students website and the yellow financial aid sheet.

Anyone willing to share how you answered the question, "If you feel comfortable doing so, please describe your current options and the amounts of any relevant merit scholarships offered"?

I am still filling out application (later deadline than those who are on edge today) and am having trouble phrasing "GW's offered me $100k, but I'd still rather go to GULC" in a positive way.

Communicate now with those who not only know what a legal education is, but can offer you worthy advice and commentary as you complete the three most educational, yet challenging years of your law related post graduate life.

I did exactly what the question asked - listed my other options and the cost associated with them. I think you should mention your GW scholarship, and then use your essay to make it very clear that you would much rather attend Georgetown.

Maybe I'm overly straightforward, but I just listed my schools and money offered, if any.

Your essay about why Georgetown's a good fit for you should make it clear to them that you prefer Georgetown, especially if they make it worth your while, hint, hint. ;)

That's basically what I did. Of course, at the time of my deadline, I only had one other acceptance (full ride to Rutgers). So I just said Rutgers - Newark -- Full Tuition Scholarship.

Shame I have this early deadline, as I got into Duke last night and received the $90,000 scholarship + 1L housing at George Washington thing today.

That aside... come on Georgetown! Don't let me down today.
