Pre-Law Scholarship for Consumer Advocacy

Post by radvocate » Wed Aug 28, 2019 2:43 pm

As you prepare for the stress of returning for the fall semester, I wanted to let you know that our organization has launched a scholarship for pre-law students that might be of interest. This semester we are giving two awards of $1,000 each.
(Apologies in advance if this is not in line with forum rules)

Pre-Law Scholarship for Consumer Advocacy
Presented by Radvocate

Apply here: https://myradvocate.com/scholarship-for ... vocacy?tls

Application deadline: November 30, 2019

Do you believe in standing up to big business and protecting the little guy? This scholarship is intended for promising undergraduates with an interest in using the law to protect consumer rights.

Radvocate is committed to applying technology to protect consumers’ rights and empower individuals to take action. We want to hear your ideas around what issues are most heavily impacting American consumers, and how to step up and fix them.

What are consumer rights? They’re your right to not be deceived and abused by companies who do things like make false promises in their advertising, incentivize salespeople to mislead you, or design systems they know will trick you into agreements.

Violations of consumer rights often fall most heavily onto underprivileged communities, so applicants with this background will receive special consideration.

Two awards of $1,000 will be presented to outstanding undergraduates in 2019.

To apply for this award you must:
• Be a current student enrolled in a 4-year undergraduate degree program as of the deadline.
•Complete the submission form below, including a written piece of up to 500 words on an issue facing American consumers and potential solutions:
