Negotiate Scholarship Stip After Accepting

Post by cnjorda » Tue Jun 25, 2013 3:41 pm

I negotiated my scholarship amount, but didn't think to negotiate the stipulation (or even know that was an option). I already sent in my seat deposit and residence hall security deposit. So, I lost all negotiating power, but it wouldn't hurt to ask. Does anyone have advice or success stories about negotiating scholarship stipulations? Or tactics to negotiate after accepting? My scholarship covers a little over half tuition, contigent upon top 50% grades. Thanks.

Unless you have rich benefactors I can't think of a school with a top 50% stip that is worth attending on a half ride.

Retake and reapply
