When do I hear about scholarship money?

Post by yeswecan12 » Sun Jan 06, 2013 1:28 am

I've gotten in a few schools this past week but haven't heard anything about money from any of them, including one where I should get a decent amount of money. Is there a place to look? Do I need to fill out the FAFSA first?

Some schools may be waiting to disburse scholarship information.

One of my acceptances won't send out info til the end of this month, another I got the information in my acceptance letter.

Stupid question: Do schools send scholarship info/offers by snail mail only or they also send it via email (or it depends from school to school? I'm mostly interested about T14)

I'm not sure about T-14, but I would assume it's school by school.

I know mine have been by snail mail but I know some schools do it by phone call as well

Each school has a different policy. You should email the financial aid department at each school you applied to if you want to know what it is. Also, yes you need to fill out FAFSA. It is easier if you do this after you file your taxes, since it asks for that info. You list the schools you applied to, and they send the info. to those schools. It is really quite simple.
