Yeah...this just made me realize I can't be reading this thread on a Friday morning if I haven't watched Scandal the night before.applelover wrote:Whoops! Sorry !!! Still watch itMojosodope wrote:Well you just ruined that episode for me..applelover wrote:I love scandal. I'll find some way to watch it in law school. I agree that it has become more soap opera like, but it's still entertaining and Shonda knows that to do to keep viewers coming back, like the fact Fitz dad got Millie pregnant or that mama Pope lives. No one was expecting either of those when the episode started and for that I commend the show's writers.

Sorry Ev. You should definitely still watch it because I didn't detail how either of those events occurred.EvMont wrote: Yeah...this just made me realize I can't be reading this thread on a Friday morning if I haven't watched Scandal the night before.

Don't even worry about it, Apple. I'll definitely still watch. I had a feeling Mama Pope might still be alive, anyways. Plus, I've just gotta see how Shonda makes it all make sense.applelover wrote:Sorry Ev. No offense to anyone who really wants to be in Nashville, but JS1 --> JS2 >>>>> anything Vandy has to offer. Yeah, but if I got JS1 I would at least want Vandy to acknowledge my worth by accepting me... but that's just how I would feel about it.teampeeta wrote:No offense to anyone who really wants to be in Nashville, but JS1 --> JS2 >>>>> anything Vandy has to offer. Maybe Vandy knows you will have better options and doesnt want to get their hopes up by accepting you and not getting you to attend....

Yea. I think thats it because my interviewer was a professor at my school and he asked me what other schools I had gotten into already at the time and I didn't want to lie, so I told him the truth, which at the time was I had already been accepted to Duke.

Mandy you're so positive! I'm really hoping he didn't include that in his interview writeup. Because although I have gotten into other schools, I am a firm believer in the necessity of having options.mandyjay11 wrote:ahhh see... you are just such a hot commodity that no one is ready to be rejected by youapplelover wrote:mandyjay11 wrote:Yeah, but if I got JS1 I would at least want Vandy to acknowledge my worth by accepting me... but that's just how I would feel about it.teampeeta wrote:

Do you all ever stalk profiles on myLSN and wonder why people had such AWFUL cycles? I was
just looking at one AA male that was my numbers twin and he was dinged at every single T14! But he did get pretty decent money at like, T30s. What's that about?

Umm...ALL. THE. TIME. It's how I spend my days. I always assume people with weird cycles either applied late or made some fatal flaw with their apps.okaygo wrote:Do you all ever stalk profiles on myLSN and wonder why people had such AWFUL cycles? I was

Right! But then I look at the date and I'm like well...you applied in November. So there's like maybe a huge C&F issue or seriously awful resumes or something. The paranoia of that dudes cycle just encouraged me to apply to UPenn and Columbia just to increase my options.EvMont wrote:Umm...ALL. THE. TIME. It's how I spend my days. Re: URM 2013-2014 Cycle Thread
Yeah. That'll probably be me as soon as I think I'm done with all of my apps. Lately, I've been cutting down the list of schools I'm applying to. But, I'm almost certain a few will creep back on the list last minute. You know, just in case something crazy happens to me this cycle.okaygo wrote:Right! I was just reading about a 170+ 3.7+ AA who was dinged at Harvard, but then he explained he had some C&F issues. Theres one guy (lighthouseman) who I can't figure out what his cycle was like because he erased his LSN numbers but he still appears on the mylsn results.

I saw that, too. There has to have been a C&F issue there.
Or his writing sample on his LSAT was a giant middle finger.

I'm surprised he didn't get a single t-20 nod besides UCLA.
