Which schools applicants actually prefer, based on LSN

Post by Robb » Wed Mar 15, 2017 11:20 pm

Hey all, am experimenting a bit more with the data I have than usual. I thought it would be interesting to see the rate at which people choose various schools over others. Unfortunately I only have data from 11-12, 12-13, and 15-16 on this, so I made tables with that info.

There is also 16-17 data, but that is very sparse at the moment. I imagine that most people have not put in the school they are attending yet. Once the information gets more complete for this cycle, I think it would be interesting to see how much it takes, in terms of scholarship money, for one school to break even with another. Not really sure how to even analyze that, though. Unfortunately, I suspect that data will be extremely limited, since very few people put where they are attending or their scholarship amounts, and even fewer put both. I'm also trying to think of a better way to present the data, so please post and/or pm me if you have ideas.

Here is the data:

11-12 and 12-13
11-12, 12-13, 15-16, and 16-17 (so far)
15-16
16-17 (so far)

Honestly, not really useful in any way for applicants. (Although, I bet it could be useful, especially when I get those scholarship values, for adcomms... anyone looking to hire?? :D ). Mostly just a thing I made out of interest.

Anywho, since we're in the choosing a law school forum:

Reminder: once you get results, please put that info into LSN to benefit other applicants in the future! (Also, mark where you're attending and your scholarship amounts to supplement this data!)
