UNC Vs. Wake Forest?

Post by InBetweenDays » Tue May 14, 2013 12:48 pm

Identical (and very manageable) total COAs. I hope to practice in Northern VA, and I do have some ties there...
Is there any difference between the two as far as placement prospects? I've looked at all the standard sites for job placements, but couldn't find any significant difference... I have seen some people here saying that UNC dominates the NC legal market, but I have seen people arguing that this isn't as true as others make it out to be. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub ... zanc&gid=1 This (which I believe is from LST) shows that c/o 2012 at UNC had 10% go to big-law, while Wake was ~5%. Does this speak to UNC's placement superiority?

Take the one that costs less. There is no meaningful difference between the two. The numbers swap every few years. If you do well at both, you will have options. If you don't, you won't.
