I agree with this. An extra $40,000-50,000 or so is worth it because either way the essential calculus is the same—you really need biglaw to pay off $120,000 or $170,000 comfortably. And NYU gives you a better shot, in my opinion. As a bonus, the downside risk is somewhat mitigated too by NYU having good LRAP and public interest support, though I really don't encourage anyone to go to law school planning on doing public interest or government work as a fallback, some manage to do it. Maybe your background makes you attractive for FDA-type jobs, I really don't know.
