Re: 2014 Rankings Waiting Thread
most fascinating part of the methodology is the peer review and lawyers and judges score. wtf. first of all, who decides who gets these surveys? second, how the fuck do you rate schools based on 1 to 5? at least make it 1 to 10 and allow for half scores. ridiculous. this score counts for like 40% of the rankings, and there is no way to even reform it and make it less than horse-shit.

Hey, maybe they'll give themselves even more unwarranted credit this year. But I'm personally curious to see where Penn, Berk and UVA end up. Someone's gotta break that love triangle up.stillwater wrote:when are the new Cooley rankings coming out???

Re: 2014 Rankings Waiting Thread
Penn's median dropped to 169 last year? I assumed they were able to hold it at 170. Interesting!99.9luft wrote:With the new rankings being several weeks away, why not indulge in the ancient TLS practice of rankings predictions/speculations/general derp.

I call 1-6 the same (YLS might drop to 3, but I'm not sure) with Berkeley taking sole possession of 7th

Thats just one class into one category, its not gonna be a game changer.ph14 wrote:Harvard to 2.

HLS is dubious... I guess it mostly depends on the stats of the incoming class, as I doubt anything else has changed.

I hope UChicago doesn't drop because then I'll have to drop out in shame as employers abandon the school IN DROVES.

Chicago is moving up to Columbia's spot. See my above post for full reasoning.Bildungsroman wrote:I hope UChicago doesn't drop because then I'll have to drop out in shame as employers abandon the school IN DROVES.

Now I'll have to swap out all of my T5 sweatshirts and coffee mugs for ones that say T4. Which makes it sound like a TTTT.ph14 wrote:Chicago is moving up to Columbia's spot. Dammit, this will be a disaster regardless.
