Im still in UG but I work at Mercer Law part-time. Macon/Mercer gets a bad wrap for all of the crime in the area, which is completely understandable, but honestly a lot of it boils down to people being unaware of their surroundings. For example the 3 am joggers or the drunk students walking back to campus from downtown on the weekends. Basically if you're aware you'll be fine.

When it comes to the actual campus, it is one building with 4 floors. Everyone is pretty friendly.

There are a few apartment buildings that are offered for housing, but many students decide to stay elsewhere because it is cheaper.

Minorities are pretty active on campus with mock trial etc.

As far as minorities in country clubs I haven't seen a large presence.

Overall, Macon is a nice city( in most parts) and I recommend you come visit.

If you have any questions let me know.

Jobs, jobs, jobs. That's what you should be focusing on more than anything else. Mercer would be a horrible decision, and Howard would be pretty questionable.

As I understand it, you're a URM and a veteran? Sweet Christ, retake ASAP. With a decent LSAT score you will have some very solid options on the table. Don't sell yourself short, don't take the easy route. You can do a lot better than this. Go read the LSAT forum, get yourself some prep materials, and retake the LSAT.
