Cali Schools (Sticker) vs. Houston ($$)

Post by thewizardofoz » Tue Apr 03, 2012 9:50 pm

I have no clue where I want to live in the future. I've lived in Houston all my life, but I have no ties to the city other than family. My significant other is in SoCal and we're at an impasse as to where we want to settle.

Where should I go considering, not only the law schools and money situation, but quality of life and legal markets in their respective cities?

Unfortunately I do not think that any of those california options are a good call at sticker. Also California is a mess and Texas is doing better than much of the rest of the country. That's still a lot of debt at Houston though. I'm sure you'll get a lot of retake/reapply advice (which is not necessarily incorrect) but if you must choose from these I vote Houston.

Also not sure how "significant" your other is, but relocating for a boyfriend/ girlfriend doesn't always work out as planned. If you were married or even engaged that would be a different story.
