UT dean fired after gender pay scandal

Among many, many other rumors. Obviously the fallout from this isn't "OMG firms won't come to OCI this year!" but will the "faculty discontent" and general chaos affect UT's ranking/reputation/academic credentials?

1) It's not a scandal.
2) To answer your question: no.

Short summary of this situation is that Sager was a divisive force among some of the UT faculty. Party of it was a perception of gender inequity, part of it was payment forms to new hires that are commonly done among other schools. As a UT student I liked Sager as a Dean, but that was just from a student perspective. Here's to hoping that UT can find a new dean soon that can help bring the faculty together and not create division.
