I voted W&M but meant to vote Cardozo. Go to Cardozo if these are your two options.

However, I am somewhat skeptical that someone with a full ride to Cardozo won't have better options.

I think its reputation is okay, but its job placement is really hurting in this economy. Also, NYC is expensive. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone without serious money but IMO a full ride makes it a legitimate choice. Still, without knowing your numbers, I would suspect someone with a full ride at Dozo could get into a T20 school.

I voted for Dozo but I may be wrong here. Basically the majority of WM places into VA/DC. Doesn't mean they don't have a presence elsewhere/you won't get a job in NY or whatever if you go, but I'm assuming you have to be very high up in class rank. Same for Cardozo, but with Cardozo, you are pretty much limited to JUST ny. Also I'm fairly sure that the CoL in Wburg + 11k is approximately the same as just CoL in NYC. Perhaps a bit more, but not a huge difference.

Yeah NYC COL is insane. I'd vote W and M if you'd be flexible about working in VA. If not, I'd take dozo.
Also, I was near your numbers before my retake (had a 166). You have very good shots at a lot of money from both Bostons.

Retake and apply to more schools - you'll have better and/or options then. Join the LSAT study group here for more details on retaking. The LSAT forum is really active and helpful here.

Go to W&M. It has a better rep virtually everywhere, including NYC, and you should be able to find work outside of VA.

Going to a mediocre school in VA is not a smart move if you don't want to work in VA.

W&M has a great reputation. Even though it is more of a regional school, OP should have a good shot at working in D.C. if she stays in the top third of her class. People from W&M find work all over the eastern seaboard. If she goes to Cardozo, she has little chance of finding work outside of NY. I don't recommend going the the 4th ranked school, which happens to have a young and tiny alumni netowrk, in the most saturated legal market in the country.

COL in NYC depends entirely on where you live. The subway runs 24/7 so the only real limiter is commute time. There are parts of Queens and Brooklyn that are quite affordable and nice, and not far from the subway lines.

If you want to work in NYC, W&M isn't even an option. You either should go to Cardozo, apply to higher-ranked schools, or not go at all. Cardozo isn't placing well ITE but with only COL loans you'll have more flexibility than folks graduating $200K in debt. It's your choice.

W&M has a better reputation in NYC than Cardozo. If you feel like you must be in the city for law school, you can go to Cardozo, but don't expect to get a job that isn't doc review if you aren't top third. Your numbers are too good for Cardozo. The scholarship isn't worth sacrificing long term opportunities.

with your numbers you might have a chance at USC ucla vanderbilt + t14. I think no money at those schools is better than 45k at WM or full ride at carbozo.

Is there a large in state advantage for UCLA?

What's with applictions asking about sexual orientation? I thought there were only 4 URMs that carried weight in admissions decisions.

That is weird. Maybe a W&M troll trying to raise the stature of the school on TLS?

I think the alternate account was in order to bump the thread. OP had just bumped it and people tend not to be happy when people bump numerous times. By making a new account, OP can keep the thread alive and at the top of the forum even when people aren't responding.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
