Georgetown or Upenn?!
Is Georgetown or UPenn generally harder to get into? If so, is it just slightly or significantly harder? By instinct I would say Penn, but when you look at their entering class profile, its very similiar (in fact Gtown's median LSAT is higher I think) so I wasn't sure. I'm thinking of applying ED to one of them, but im a very borderline candidate as it is, and thought the ED might help me a little (Does it?). I dont want to waste it on a school which is much more of a reach. Any advice would be appreciated!!

Use the LSAC Official Guide and check the numbers... see how many applicants each school has and how may people are accepted. That should give you a pretty decent idea.applesoranges123 wrote:Is Georgetown or UPenn generally harder to get into? If so, is it just slightly or significantly harder? I'm going to go with... who cares, you'd rather go to Penn. I could be wrong though. (shrugs)

Despite the median numbers, Penn is harder to get into, and the better choice. Not sure if ED helps enough to matter for either.

though Penn is a better school (for a variety of reasons), you actually probably stand a better shot at getting into georgetown, especially if you ED there, because their entering class size is so much larger.

Georgetown has the same median LSAT and a lower median GPA. Their large class size is the killer come OCI time.applesoranges123 wrote:Is Georgetown or UPenn generally harder to get into? You're below both medians for both schools. I'd personally recommend EDing to Michigan.
