Rutgers Camden Auto-Admit

Post by downing » Thu Jun 23, 2011 6:32 am

I just received an odd email from Rutgers Camden. This is probably a simple ploy to get more students to be a part of their incoming class, but it just seemed weird to admit a person that never bothered to send them an application, and then to go on about including the student in a "special admit-outreach scholarship program for select students" (approximately 30).

I've already decided on another school and never considered Rutgers, so I posted this out of curiosity for anyone who might have a better/ more informed opinion on the reasoning behind this offer.

The stip was pretty bad, btw. To keep all of the small amount of scholarship money offered, you'd have to maintain a 3.5.

got it, read the first few lines, tossed it in the trash.

the best language in it was "if you apply and if you are accepted".
