George Mason vs. Notre Dame for DC/NoVa

Post by renaissanceman83 » Fri Mar 18, 2011 7:04 pm

Which is better for getting a job in the DC/NoVa area, Notre Dame or George Mason? Private firm or government work. First-hand experience is especially appreciated.

Although ND has better overall placement, I am going to say GMU is the better choice if you want DC/ NoVa area. I mean the school is in Arlington. ND is probably the most "national" school outside of the T14, and if you do well you can get in DC. The thing is, you basically need top 15% at either school for DC. If you are around the median you can get a smaller gig in Northern Virginia out of GMU. ND you would probably be stuck in the midwest (albeit at probably a decent paying job).
