Thanks!
P.S. - I was hoping Northwestern would jump past Duke, but much the opposite occurred. Thoughts on this? I noticed Duke's admit numbers were actually considerably better which is weird to me because nobody seems to talk up Duke much. They have a good rep, but also a rep as a frat school. Also, what the f--- happened to Berkeley?
Also... how the f--- did Texas jump into a tie with Georgetown when their admit numbers are fairly lower, employment numbers are relatively the same. Am I missing something there?

Yes. And I'm correct.ArthurDigbySellers wrote:Are you seriously disputing what T14 signifies?flcath wrote:Lol no.czelede wrote:T14 is the distinction for schools that have been ranked in the top 10 at some point or the other. Look it up. It means, literally, the "Top Fourteen" schools, as in "the schools that are ranked in the top 14."

Yeah my egregious-bullshit radar went off seeing that as well.ArthurDigbySellers wrote:I take issue with the Academia thing. I know personally a few people who don't want to be lawyers and are going back to grad school. But no way anyone from BU Law goes straight into academia. That's just BU giving students temporary jobs. Now, this is the same for every school, the academia thing (no one gets hired into academia right after graduation), what I refer to is how high they are. 17% is a lot of people in bullshit rankings-gaming "academia." I rag on BU only because the information is here and I'm strongly considering it.

Still not bad when you compare to most "regional" schools. Fordham places damn near all of its class in NYC. GW places damn near all of its class in DC. Yet BU places a solid third of their class in NYC/DC areas, while only a half of the kids stay in Mass. Sure, its a rise in how many students are taking jobs a bit closer to the school, but a nice distribution for what is considered a regional school.ArthurDigbySellers wrote:The Top Law BU page used to say that barely a third of BU grads stayed in Mass. Now it looks like it's about 50%.

I didn't say that it did.FiveSermon wrote:Cornell doesn't have a PT program.flcath wrote:I have a tough time remembering.FiveSermon wrote:Part time program is pretty TTT. Isn't Georgetown the only school in the previous T14 that has a part time program?
Now it's t13 ofc.
My brother went to Cornell (which is a T13, so I'm sure it was in the old "T14") back in the day, so I'll ask him.
But yes, if it was Georgetown that was the 14th LS in the "T14" back when it existed, then it would be the only LS there with a part-time program.
I'm just having a hard time remembering which schools were in the old "T14." My brother went to LS back when it existed, so I'll have to ask him.

I really dont know how Catholic jumped up like that. I thought ranking them at 98 last year was an indication they were being booted out of TT.
P.S. Whatup Seton Hall.

I know the talk is on the LS rankings.
But shockers in the Business Rankings. Stanford beat Harvard for #1. And Michigan (Ross) fell to 14?? And Yale is somehow higher at 10? Strange.

Catholic jumped because USNWR's methodology now factors in how many Catholic school girls are attending. This is given an equal amount of weight as the LSAT and GPA combined.
