I have faith that it will rebound, too, but even in a good economy, it's unlikely that you will make anything north of $60K from any of these schools. ITE, many students will be lucky to have a job at all. These schools are way over priced.Potential1L2010 wrote:I have faith that the economy will rebound, some people here think its in the toliet to stay...i dont.

$200,000.00 confident it will return?Potential1L2010 wrote:I have faith that the economy will rebound, some people here think its in the toliet to stay...i dont.
Even so, as others will attest to, you have much better odds at making under 60K, not 80-100K.

FTFY(perhaps the original for JC cause he/she is always really nice) but everything else said is completly true and I say this as someone who is attending UMiami in the fall. Love the school but if UF ever gets me off this damn waitlist I'll jump faster than Kunta became Toby. That is the elitist TLSers talking right there. I'm not going to pout if I make "only" 80- 100K starting out. The only 20% makes 70k or more part i think is a tad off. I'm confident in my ability to do well in school.
Even from mid- to lower T1 schools, the majority of the class is looking at $60K at best. You're talking about T2 schools here.
People on here are[strike]n't[/strike] elitist, they actually care about other potential students getting screwed.

that 20% statistic i gave was prior for 2008 grads, so people who got their jobs prior to the tumbling of the legal market. if you're able to land a job it's way more likely that the job will be paying you 40-50k than any higher salary.Potential1L2010 wrote:I have faith that the economy will rebound, some people here think its in the toliet to stay...i dont.

Even when the economy was good, most people were making 40-60k. The difference is, with the bad economy, now they're unemployed.
If you're going to to go a lower T1/T2 school, a) it should be extremely strong in it's region and b) you should be under 100k (better to be under 70k) in debt for 3 years max, and the "under 100k" number should be most pessimistic number possible if you have any type of scholarship stipulation.
