Chapman $$$ or USD $$

Post by socalren » Mon Mar 08, 2010 1:23 pm

So I have not heard from UC Hastings or UC Irvine yet; but, I'm not going to hold my breath. Here are my options:

-Chapman with a full tuition scholarship renewable with 3.0 each year.
-USD with $15,000 a year renewable if in top 50%

I want to practice in Orange County, and I'm still torn in several directions with what I want to practice including: Labor & Employment, Corporate/Contract, Real Estate, and Banking.

What do you think?

seeing as though you want to practice in the OC, I would 100% take the full ride

They're both regional, so going with the school in the area, especially with a full ride, seems to make the most sense.

Thanks for the responses. I'm leaning towards Chapman. Especially because when I asked the alumni who called me to answer any questions I might have about USD what he's doing with his JD-- he said "well, I'm unemployed for right now but looking"... not a good fellow to have doing your marketing. I figure if I'm in his boat in 2013, atleast be there without $100k in debt.
