We'd be above NYU instantly.
They could probably shoehorn a law school in somewhere on that island. There's what, a few hundred students, a few dozen faculty. Put in some classrooms, an administrative office, and a library. BAM! Law school!
Sounds like what New York Law School did.

Yeah I bet a ton of firms in Illinois will refuse to hire their grads.
Oh I share your opinion that rankings don't mean anything. I was just stating the obvious.

And how is it that only 91.8% are employed at Yale? Surprising...
~8% of the class would only need to be ~16 people since their class is so small, glancing at employment stats from last years class 9 were seeking graduate degrees, 3 were "not seeking", and 4 were seeking jobs - so that would be 16, and out of that 16, only 4 would actually be looking for a job.
And those 4 could get some legal job if they wanted most likely.

What did UW do to deserve the 10-spot climb? Bribed usnews? With BU,BC,Fordham all clustered around 30, the ranking outside the T14 is becoming more arbitrary every year.

BC and BU seem to be really low for the solid numbers they seem to have for employment.

The biggest gripe I have with this ranking is the national versus regional designations. To the extent US News has any credibility, it should be in placing schools into these broadly correct tiers, but there is no way St. John's is placing nationally. Nor is Penn State, no matter the Rick Santorum effect.

I think properly applied, those kinds of labels could be useful. A school like Michigan is legitimately national. A school like Wisconsin is legitimately regional. A school like St. John's is local.

Must be their lack of adequate library space.
