I wouldn't be surprised if Cornell is somewhat conservative, because it is located in a small town. But then again, it is located in the Northeast after all.

Ithaca is incredibly liberal, actually. I'd say the student body and faculty at Cornell Law School are about average for a law school. Probably more conservative than NYU; probably more liberal than UVA.

If you are talking politically, the vast majority of people that I've spoken to here at UChi have leaned left. No one can fully know what you mean by conservative though and any school will probably have like minded people as you.

I have thought about not applying to the University of Chicago, because when I visited the campus it didn't seem to be to welcoming of an environment. I could be wrong. If I apply and am admitted, I may have to give them a second look due to their placement power.

I wouldn't put much stock into the orientation of the students politically. Though I think it would be good to have a couple of professors that aren't way left. For example, I'm sure most students at NU are liberal, but they have Richard Epstein.

I've heard that at some schools are just plain old racist, sexist old school Fox News Republicans, but that certainly isn't how things are at NU.

In my experience, Georgetown is rabidly conservative. As is NYU, if you are looking the right places.

The rest of those schools are either moderate or liberal, but I would suspect that, in varying degrees, you can also find some conservatism at HYS, NYU, CLS, GULC, and even Duke.

WTF?! Berkeley actually got votes? LMAO! Unless I am missing something, forget about Berkeley catering to anything conservative; it ain't happenin'. They still tie-dye down there, and the white profs are still driving VW buses with flower-power/free love scripts on them, and wearing fro's, Ray-Ban aviators and dashikis with their denim and flip-flops. Didn't they recently catch two profs smokin' weed and "getting it on" in the parking lot while listening to the Jefferson Airplane?

The poll only allows 10 items. I absolutely love Columbia; it is well-known for its liberal leanings. Plus, the vast majority of people would accept offers from Yale, Harvard, Stanford and Columbia regardless of any perceived flaws at those schools.

ITT: Liberals have no idea just how much further left EVERY university campus is than anywhere else on earth. I've lived in Europe, I've spent time in San Francisco, I was raised in Chicago. None of these places compare to the level of liberalism anywhere in the ivory tower.

Not saying there's anything wrong with that. Just understand if you can't take how conservative say, Georgetown, is there aren't too many places you'll be able to live in the real world. 3/4 of my professors there worked in democratic administrations or clerked for left-leaning justices.

Oddly enough my class at cornell has a really active federalist and Christian legal society. Way more than I would have expected given Ithaca.

Undergrads at Duke are not conservative at all. Law students are probably about the same as them.

The fact is that T14 students are unlikely to be conservative. The two most conservative tier ones are without question Notre Dame and BYU. After that, there are only a couple of other tier ones that could be described as somewhat conservative.
