it's like, my grades are JUST good enough where i would be a douche to complain about them, but at the same time they are bad enough to where they are significantly hurting my GPA.

man, looking back at last semester, i can't say enough how much it helps your overall GPA to book just one class. my grades this semester are actually pretty similar to last semesters, except i haven't hit any class out of the park (don't expect to do so with last exam, either).

That's where my grades were last semester. Except instead of nailing one exam, I bombed one. It's absurd how much damage one B- does. Literally the difference between just outside top 25% and below median.

I got an A- in con law. Only waiting on one more class. As long as I don't get a C or worse I will finish top 10%. Life is good.

Booking a class is really really hard - at least here. Not every prof even gives A+'s. We had one in my entire section in the fall.

We can get A-/A/A+ here, too, but the A and the A+ are worth the same amount (4.0).

in addition to this, do you guys just get letter grades and there is only one grade point set to that gpa (for instance, A=3.5, B=3.0, etc.) or do you just get numbers (3.4, 3.8, etc.)?

we get numbers here, and so a 3.6-3.8=A-, 3.9-4.1=A, 4.2-4.3=A+, etc. so yeah, in my situation a 3.8 is much better than a 3.6, even though they are both A-.

similar boat, except my one poor grade (c+) knocked me from top 20% range to top 1/3 range. praying that doesnt happen again this semester.... only a week or so more to wait.

We get standard letter grades (A+/A/A-/B+/B/B- etc.). A+ = 4.33. They are somewhat rare for 1L classes but are a massive GPA boost if you can get one.

Two Grades are in... both A's... both 4 credit classes. I celebrated last night and lost $200 bucks that I could not afford to lose at a casino, but I don't even give a fudge. Why? Because I am on my way to transferring to my dream school
