Top Law Schools

My only law related experiences are in forensic psychology, but I have done over 2,000 hours of research+volunteering as an undergrad. My GPA was brought down by my science major courses- wish I wasn't lazy.

What are my chances for a top 10 law school? I know yale is out of the question, ...but how much of a shot do I have for harvard or stanford?

Out at all T10. Should have done 3000+ hours research and then maybe I'd let you into one.

In at CCN, Good chance at H and out at S and Y because of gpa? I would still apply, you have good softs (science major, research experience) that might help your application package...

Definitely in at Northwestern and Chicago, likely in at everywhere but HYS. Berkeley is likely your lowest probability because of their focus on GPA over LSAT, but your background is interesting and a well written personal statement will get you in.

Harvard is definitely worth applying to as you have a good chance, but likely a bit below 50% chance of getting in.

If this isn't a flame, apply everywhere you have an interest in attending, with a 180 and a pretty decent GPA, I can't see anywhere being a waste of the application fee.

As far as I know and from what Law admissions are telling me, a bum could walk off the street get a 180 and get into Yale. Most schools care way more about LSATs than GPAs. Even Berkeley (I spoke with the Dean) its not true that a high GPA runs the way they evaluate they are just more well rounded in their analysis of future students. I researched this since I have a 3.9 GPA from a top ten Ivy but am an AWFUL test taker. A 170 would be a small miracle for me.

So a 180 will get you in about anywhere and my 3.9 (in a hard double major as well) will get me nowhere if I mess up on the LSATs. Wanna trade? HOW DID YOU GET A 180 though? Damn. What was your regimen?

see if cooley will take you if you apply in crayon and get a letter of recommendation from Scruff McGruff

then realize that with a 180 on your lsat and a strong science gpa you probably shouldnt have been looking at this forum and stroking your ego...

Cooley would make you dean of admissions if you wanted; crayon or no crayon. In fact, you should specifically ask for that postion in your personal statement.

lol LSATs are usually weighted heavier than GPAs, but i wouldnt say anywhere, i.e. the Yale comment. last cycle on LSN, practically half the ppl who applied to Yale w/ a 180 got rejected haha.

I am of the opinion that half of the people on LSN with 180s are fake accounts.
