Hoping for UCLA/USC; what LSAT would I need with 3.62 GPA?

Hey all, long time reader, first time poster.
I am a California native hoping to get into UCLA or USC law. I currently study business and history at WUSTL, and have a 3.62 UG GPA. My diagnostic LSAT runs have turned out in the low 170s, but they have been from LSAC's current Superprep book (are those generally easier than other books? not sure).
Anyway, I was just wondering what kind of real LSAT scores I would need to have a good shot at either UCLA or USC. If it's not too much trouble, how high would I need to go in order to get a bit of money from USC
Thanks for your time and advice!

I don't know if this matters, but both my father and grandfather went to USC law, and I have several other family members who went there as well. Thanks again!

Um, yeah, that may matter. Let's hope for your sake they have been consistent donors!
I think if you're scoring in the low 170s, you should be golden.

LSAT 167-168 will get you into one of the schools for sure. I think that if you can raise your GPA a little bit then you will have a better shot at both (especially UCLA which likes high GPA). I think a 165 would make both schools a long shot and a 166 would be a toss up. Just my opinion.

I have a 168 with similar GPA and am waitlisted. I'd advise to be 170+ for a sure shot these days unless you're a URM. .

Agree, particularly with the SC connections. We'll see where UCLA's numbers end up, but they're going to the WL now and they're not going to have a 170 median in the fall. If they were, they wouldn't have offered me money

Really appreciate the advice! Looks like my main task is to manage 170+ on the LSAT. That's a tall order.

My guess is 166 would get you in at USC and 169/170 at UCLA. Get a 172 just to be safe.

USC - 167
UCLA - I would say a 170 is safe, but it can certainly be done with a 168
Being that you're a legacy, you may be able to get in with a score that is a point or two lower than these, but you may want to consider retaking the LSAT to be safe. Just wait and see.

Same stats as above: 3.6/167 in at USC out at UCLA. No money for me as of yet, but I just filled out the financial aid questionnaire and haven't done FAFSA yet.
