Re: 3.93 GPA/170 LSAT
Unless you're a URM/have stellar softs, you only have a good shot at Harvard, actual chances depend upon the rest of your package, but your numbers are competitive. Your numbers put you at the 25th percentile before the last cycle, I haven't seen new numbers yet so I don't know how much inflated LSATs moved percentiles. You still have time to retake if you desperately want one of the other two or want to improve your chances at money. Retaking would be the smart decision if you are set on HYS.

Yeah, definitely some chance though this cycle will again be pretty competitive relative to years past, except for this last cycle. Lots of COVID deferrals and high scoring LSATs thanks to the flex will drive LSAT quartiles through the roof. Your GPA should keep you around HLS median but your LSAT will definitely be below the 25th. I got in at H, rejected at SY, with a 3.8low and 170 in the 2019-2020 cycle as a straight white guy. Had socioeconomic and geogrpahic diversity going for me, and some good narratives and pretty solid softs. Good luck and try and make a compelling narrative as to how you'll add to an incoming HYS class.

Are there any indications that the admissions cycle will cool down after 2021-22? Do informed people think post-COVID admissions will be slightly less competitive than last year?

Does anyone know if the admissions cycles are expected to cool off after 2021-22? Are they going to be less competitive than 19-20 and 20-21 post-covid?

I don't think anyone has the inside scoop on that. In years past you would be competitive for H, but certainly not a lock. Things are more competitive now and no clue how it'll be in a couple years. We would all be as much in the dark as you. As I say on every post though, I'd urge someone to consider a scholarship at Cornell or Mich over sticker at HSCNN, especially if their goal is generic biglaw monies in nyc.

I am thinking this cycle will be pretty hot still. I imagine a fair amount of folks decided to reapply this cycle considering the extremely high scores from last cycle. Spivey generally has good reporting on this. Data driven and they get the inside scoop from adcomms. I am guessing normalcy returns in 2022-23 cycle
