Hi everybody,

I got my CAS evaluation regarding the undergraduate transcript. I am happy to be evaluated as S. But my GPA is 3.49 actually.

Just wonder if 3.49still hurts my application for Columbia, northwestern and NYU.
Should I position myself as a splitter?

Additional info
majored in German (undergraduate) Sociology (master)
Estimated LSAT 173

You're gonna want to blanket the T14 anyway with that 173 so I wouldn't worry about it. The 3.49 doesn't get reported to the ABA so it's not going to hurt you nearly as much as a "real" GPA would.

Yeah, your specific GPA doesn't really matter in this context - the whole point of the S/AA etc ranking is that foreign GPAs don't track US GPAs exactly, so no one's going to discount the S because your school called it a 3.49. And it doesn't count toward rankings/percentiles.

Your "estimated" LSAT is really what's going to be the main driver of your acceptances. No school needs a Superior foreign GPA in their stats, but they do need high LSATs.
