3.4/174/STEM Chance Me?

Hello TLS:

I am currently 2-3 years out of undergrad from UCLA (3.4), with a BS in Mathematics and BA in Economics. I just got my August Flex back and got a 174, and I'm looking to apply in Fall 2021.

I am Asian/trans with some T3 softs and I'm blanketing T20s, but NYU, Columbia, Penn, Northwestern, and Duke are my top choices. Not sure what my GPA means for my prospects, but I wanna know if I have a shot or if this is a crap shoot? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! :)

I think your strat is a smart one; blanket the T20; you'll snag something. I'd also consider tossing an app to some T1 regionals of where you want to practice just for scholly info (not sure if USC is a t20, but I'd consider sending them an app). I think perhaps expanding to Cornell and others in the T14 may also be good. I think you'll get some bites, just not sure on the packages you'll get in the T14. Best of luck

Both. "Crap shoot" just means it's unpredictable, like casino craps. 174 is a good place to be and your softs will help you stand out among other splitters.

yeah apply everywhere. your LSAT is strong even for a T6, and maybe one of em will overlook the GPA given STEM + LGBTQ
