Should I apply ED?

I have a 3.91 undergrad GPA and a 168 LSAT. I'd like to get into a T13 and hopeful for a T10. Wondering if I should apply early decision to Penn/Columbia/NYU? Will it make a difference for me?

Copy-pasting my post from a similar thread:

You're barely a reverse splitter. If you were a 163/4.0, and somehow had no way of improving that 163, then it might make sense to take an ED gamble in order to get the outcome of sticker at a T14. But with 168/3.91 you can do a lot better than sticker at a T14.

Also posting, as I did on another similar thread, to strongly suggest you not apply for binding early decision because you'd be leaving money on the table.

This myLSN output shows that you have a fighting chance at most of the t13, plus a very good chance at Cornell on down. You should blanket the t13 (maybe even t20) to increase your options/chances, not silo yourself for one specific school. Some users on this forum (BrainsyK comes to mind) have had success with ED at Columbia, but s/he was 170/3.7 iirc which is a different situation.

Also wanted to add that it makes no sense to care about the T13/T10 boundary here. Schools move up and down that rankings band all the time and they're all peers of each other. Anyone who would turn down a large scholarship at Cornell to attend UVA at full price (which you're implicitly willing to do if you ED with your numbers) is insane.

Thanks for this. Very helpful. Where can I find the other thread you referenced?
