Hey guys,
I got waitlisted from Penn ED2. Although it might not be the best outcome, I am grateful!

I was wondering if you guys can share any advice on what I should do to increase my chance of acceptance.
My stats are
GPA 3.5 | LSAT 171 | Non-URM | KJD
Thanks!

- Get a job and do it for about 2 years
- Improve your LSAT

-Get LSAT above 75th
-Work experience, maybe another LOR if you didn't max them out and if it's a good one
-Could you have improved your essays? Did you write a Why Penn?

Penn fools around with its waitlist to maintain selectivity.
I think it's 18 percentish whereas NYU is around 33 percentish.
It'll probably flirt with you in May or something. It'll say, oh, no, I have no money! Do you still love me? And then enjoy Penn at $350,000.

With you numbers, you should have other options. Why the focus on Penn?

The Penn WL isn't terribly surprising given these odds. (Though, as folks have hinted at, Penn is one of those relatively rare law schools that places great emphasis on a convincing Why X essay - so, if you haven't submitted one, try to cook one up!)
More generally, you should be looking at great odds of getting into Mich, UVA and Duke. If for whatever reason you didn't apply to those schools this cycle, please, please, please seriously consider reapplying next cycle.
