Whats with everyone talking about IVY law schools this cycle???

PSA ivy is not a useful distinction in law school admissions. T14 or bust, kids....

Not to nitpick, but Yale's median LSAT is 173, and Harvard's 75th/25th percentiles were 175/170, so I think this must be an error?

Medians for undergrad LSAT takers, not law school admits.

My understanding is undergrad preftige is a non-factor in admissions. No one cares because USNWR doesn't have a metric for "number of Ivy bros who grace your law school with their presence". If they did, adcomms might start to care how blue-blood your undergrad is. Until then, it's all about that LSAT/GPA.

(The only exception I've heard for this is some schools with crazy grade deflation. Adcomms are aware which institutions those are and kiiiinda consider it as a factor. Highly doubt they'd completely disregard a trash GPA though.)

Oh yea, and to pile on, Ivy law school is not a thing. NYU over Cornell all day, every day.

I think he means median score of students at those undergrads who take the LSAT.

I think he was referring to the median LSAT scores of their undergraduates

Isn't that basically only Princeton?
Yup. And outside the Ivies I've heard places like CIT/MIT, Harvey Mudd, West Point etc. have similar issues.

My school does grade deflation as well and our school sends a letter along with our transcripts explaining that. I don't think it had any positive effect on my cycle though.
