Chances?
This is my second time being on this site. so i am probably asking a question that has been asked a billion times and probably already has a thread.
I go to the University of Nebraska, I Have a 3.8 GPA and only got a 160 on my lsat. However, I'm on student government, head of the entrepreneurship group, started a service project. My major is economics. What are my chances of getting in to Cornell or UPenn?

retake and as it stands, you have a 0.0000% chance of getting in to either.

Re: Chances?
Essentially everyone will say retake. Otherwise you should probably change your goal of what school you want to attend. Retake is prob the best option though, don't want to waste that GPAAdam68601 wrote:This is my second time being on this site. so i am probably asking a question that has been asked a billion times and probably already has a thread.

Unless you're a URM, you don't really have a chance at all.

Re: Chances?
People everywhere are now plugging Akron. Rumor has it next year's US News rankings have Akron to t-20. I'd seriously get in now before it happens. The upgrade to their facilities has been a monumental task that has had grave implications for future Supreme Court Justices, Corporate Leaders, and Legal Environmental Advocates everywhere.Clyde Frog wrote:Apply to Akron, they have a lazy river.Adam68601 wrote:This is my second time being on this site. so i am probably asking a question that has been asked a billion times and probably already has a thread.

Solid alumni support should absolutely ALWAYS factor into your decision. Clearly you have done your homework.raven1231 wrote:Not to mention the legendary lebrom James as an alumni! Some thoughts:
1) If that's the entire thing, then I'm pretty disappointed. That's not even a lazy river more like a lazy stream. Or puddle.
2) On that note, CHECK OUT TEXAS TECH'S LAZY RIVER:
They don't even call it a lazy river (merely a "lesiure pool") but my god that thing is the fucking Mississippi compared to Akron's.

Re: Chances?
If that Akron's lazy river that is not a lazy river. That is a pool and then they put a few concrete walls in the middle to make it impossible to swim in. boo. 120.
OP, what is your race? If the answer is white or asian, the answer t your question is 0%. If you are an AA male, that's a different story.

Re: Chances?
After finishing this last semester with a 4.0 my cumulative is actually sitting at a 3.90. I had taken the lsat a while ago and on my last few practice tests offered by the university ive gotten a 165 and a 166. I guess would I have a chance with a 3.9 and a 165? Or do I need to score even higher on the LSAT?

Re: Chances?
You need to score higher. Take time and study, score at least in the 170s so you get good money and won't have to pay close to sticker.Adam68601 wrote:After finishing this last semester with a 4.0 my cumulative is actually sitting at a 3.90.
