Hi everyone. I have a 3.9 gpa from University of Washington and a 173 lsat. Additional information/softs would be that
1. I'm a first gen college student
2. immigrant (came here from Korea at 12)
3. Double majored (in American Ethnic Studies and Political Science) with departmental honors from AES
4. Was hit by a car while commuting on my bike at school and had to undergo three surgeries since Junior year (never took a break from school thanks to accomodating profs)
5. Worked at a start up immigration law office as a paralegal assistant for three months during the summer
6. Held a 20hrs/week on campus job since freshmen year, became a lead, helped create a class curriculum, heavily involved in hiring
7. Paid intern through Non-profit organization for Asian/Pacific Islander Americans since freshmen year

I've listed literally everything that could be in any way relevant. Do I stand a chance at HYS? If not, is it worth attending a T14 instead of taking a full ride (if offered) from UW?

Thank you all in advance for helping me cope with all the anxiety law school admissions process is causing!

Your numbers put you in play everywhere. I think you'll get into Harvard and probably Stanford. Check mylsn.info to see how others with your numbers did.

You'll probably get good money at other T14 schools. Whether you should take it depends on your career goals and personal financial situation.

Get your application in order and apply early. You should write Why Xs for most places to avoid YP.

You're in a good spot. Good luck.

With your numbers you shouldn't be looking any where but the T14. You have a good shot at H and S. Yale is kind of unpredictable but you have a good chance. Good luck

Thank you for taking time to give me advice. Can I ask you what Xs and YP mean?

but nice humble-brag

I saw that flow chart and considered not posting, but I wanted advice on if I should take a T14 or UW (granted I didn't get into HYS since the numbers on Mysln was split around 50/50) with my numbers. Thank you for sharing it with me though.

It depends on the acceptances that you get and a number of other factors. Just wait until you get your options and then you can ask the question, if you still have it.

Why X school is an essay explaining why you want to go to that school. It can include specific programs, faculty, geographic concerns, family stuff, or anything else making it seem like you want to go there.

It'll help avoid yield protect (YP) where schools below your numbers wait list you because they think you'll end up going to a higher ranked school.
