I am not sure about Top 50; perhaps some school may be willing to take a lower LSAT. But top 20 seems unlikely.tannn87 wrote:But, could I get into a Top 50 or 20 right now?

...That I won't get into a T50 even or T20 is what you are saying?MLuke wrote:General consensus seems to be that unless you have impacted the world in some meaningful way your softs are average at best and won't change anything. Developed a cure for cancer, wrote a best seller, Nobel prize winner? Great softs. Worked at a law firm/worked in non profit overseas/teach for America/anything involving school organizations(even being president) are average
Teach for America I believe is considered above average, as is military service.MLuke wrote:General consensus seems to be that unless you have impacted the world in some meaningful way your softs are average at best and won't change anything. It's not nearly above average enough to overcome a 156 LSAT. That 156 stops the record from playing.njkga wrote:Teach for America I believe is considered above average, as is military service.MLuke wrote:General consensus seems to be that unless you have impacted the world in some meaningful way your softs are average at best and won't change anything. You may get somebody to bite in the T50... you'll have to pay so much that it won't be worth attending, but I wouldn't be shocked if you got an acceptance.tannn87 wrote:...That I won't get into a T50 even or T20 is what you are saying?MLuke wrote:General consensus seems to be that unless you have impacted the world in some meaningful way your softs are average at best and won't change anything. Oh, for sure, I didn't mean to suggest that it was.fliptrip wrote:It's not nearly above average enough to overcome a 156 LSAT. haha so you're saying that anything below T50 should cease to exist?ndirish2010 wrote:You shouldn't go to law school anywhere that you'll get in with those numbers, so whether you can get in is irrelevant. You're better off not getting in.
Everything other than the tier of strong regionals that ends around 30-35 could cease to exist (other than state flagships, of course) and students would be better off.Thomas Hagan, ESQ. wrote:haha so you're saying that anything below T50 should cease to exist?ndirish2010 wrote:You shouldn't go to law school anywhere that you'll get in with those numbers, so whether you can get in is irrelevant.
