URM applying late in cycle

Hi Everyone,

I'm a URM (Puerto Rican) with a 3.47 GPA. Two years out of college with mid-to-strong softs. Took the LSAT back in December and decided to retake in February (extenuating circumstances affected performance). Because of this I told most schools to put me on hold until they got my new score. Got a 170. I've already been accepted full ride at Temple and money ($$) at Miami. My question is what's my outlook for T14 this late in the cycle? Does anyone have any experience with applying late? I'm willing to wait another cycle depending on the outcome but my curiosity got the best of me so I figured I'd post.

If you aren't sensitive to losing app/report fees, APPLY. As a 3.53/170 URM, you're going to be a very competitive applicant, even this late. If you don't like your results, just apply day one next year. The one thing that you absolutely are not permitted to do is go to either Temple or Miami without knowing what else might be available to you.

i'd wait until day 1 next cycle to max $$$ chances but you're gonna have good results regardless. i just wouldn't want to pay the app fees 2x

Well a middle road could be applying to a couple of dream schools and seeing what happens. I can understand the temptation to take that 170 out for a spin.

Thanks for the responses guys! Luckily I got fee waivers at the majority of schools in T14 so the cash I dished out for apps was relatively minimal. I'll update as responses start coming in... Hopefully I won't have to wait an eternity before I start hearing back (although I'm sure it will feel that way).
