That list looks pretty good to me. Given your career goals, it sounds like the DC schools should be at the top of your list. You may be able to finagle some money out of GULC but I can't imagine you won't get big money from GW/GMU/American/Catholic. It's not always the best idea to attend the top ranked school you can get into. You will probably get into Northwestern for example, but that may take you farther away from your career goals.capitolbuffalo wrote:Like the title says, I had a 3.23 GPA at a large state school and got a 173 on the Feb LSAT (up from a 161 in December). Got my applications out last week/last night (after getting my score) so I'm pretty late in the cycle. I have worked for Congress since graduation 3 years ago and want to practice in a field of law relevant to my legislative portfolio. I had a lot of leadership and internships in college so I believe my softs are very solid. My goal would be to stay on the East Coast (DC/NY) or go back to Colorado. I've looked at MYLSN but would appreciate some outside, qualitative input.
Here's where I've applied/am applying:
GULC
UVA
Vanderbuilt
GWU
GMU
UT
UPenn
W&L
W&M
Colorado
Fordham
Denver
American
Catholic
Thoughts? Any other schools I should apply to? I've missed deadlines at a few places I'd usually apply to since I did not expected to get a 173. Thanks for reading.
