3.35/171 Retake? Forum

Took the LSAT twice:

December 2014 (163), June 2015 (171)

In between those two tests I studied a ton, but I still feel like I under performed on the test - also for anyone that took the June 2015 test they know it was a difficult curve, -9 = 171 :/ - I hit over 172 pretty consistently with a few 177/78s mixed in

So here's my situtation:
- 3 years WE (Education)
- Already have a T14 acceptance for this cycle, ED'd at Columbia and had an interview already (so I guess if I get in there then the retake choice is already made)
- Sitting out this year was pretty difficult for me and I think I'm ready to start school


Should I retake the test and try to get 3/4 more points? I think I'm entirely capable of doing it, but would February be too late? If my applications are already out, could I prep for February and if I get WL'd at CCN or HLS then could I report that to the schools and be reconsidered?

Thanks for any information and let me know what in here needs to be clarified or expanded upon.

Went to large public and majored in History, so the GPA isn't super impressive

Retake couldnt hurt ..i have similar numbers lower gpa higher lsat (URM tho) and im retaking in case i get wl'd at HLS. Theres no downside except the registration money.

Also, has anyone had any luck retaking the LSAT and getting an increase in scholarship money with their new score?

Not me personally...but I know its been done. I also know people have gotten off the wait list plus a scholarship after a retake although that usually happens for schools ranked lower than Columbia.
