Where to apply?

Post by GreekOmega12 » Thu Nov 05, 2015 7:24 pm

Hey!

I am currently weighing my options of where to apply. I have a 3.4 GPA, retaking the LSAT in December from June which was 159. Currently PT'ing in the mid 160s. Last two PTs were 167 and 169 aiming for 170s. I know we shouldn't deal with hypotheticals but assuming I can come near that and score lets say a 165 or 166 what should my target schools be?

I am looking to work BigLaw in either Chicago, NY, or LA. I also have some interest in PI but BigLaw is my mindset right now.

I am also an AA Male.

My priority list (assuming I score where I am PT'ing) is:

1. Harvard
2. Chicago
3. Michigan
4. Penn
5. Northwestern
6. UCLA
7. USC

Am i off base with my targets?

A little optimistic maybe. Get some fall back schools on that list who would accept you with those stats over 50% of the time. I'd cut out Harvard completely - but I won't fault you for wanting to flatter them with your $100 app fee. Maybe you'll be the one to change their cold calloused hearts.
