Active duty military with strong LORs. What do you guys think my chances are of getting into UPENN? Is it a good reach school for me to apply to?

Thank you for your input. I have a few safe schools that I know I can get into since I'll owe the army six years as a JAG afterward anyway. I was just looking for a good reach school and saw that last year the bottom 25th percentile at UPENN was a 163 LSAT. I thought with a solid GPA and military service that might be enough to get me in since I wouldn't be worried about receiving scholarship moneyBigZuck wrote:I don't really see it happening but military can be hard to predict it seems. The letters won't make a difference.

You have documented proof that you're a member of a tribe? I think that's usually how NA URM boosts are looked at but I could be wrong.priley3487 wrote:BigZuck wrote:I would retake the LSAT if you want to get inpriley3487 wrote:Thank you for your input. I'm also a URM 50% Navajo not sure how much of a role that will play?
URM plus military is a strong combo but really hard to predict. I suspect you'll do better than your numbers alone suggest but really hard to quantify that. Maybe try and dig into www.lawschoolnumbers.com to find some anecdata on candidates like you. That's probably the best you can do.priley3487 wrote:Yes I do, I was actually born on the reservation.
