3.5 lsac due to an F in a P/F :(
Molecular biology and philosophy dual degree at top 5 public
1 year americorps
Average softs, solid letters
Non-URM asian male
Split between Bay Area( love the people/place/weather) and NYC (large number of big firms), leaning towards Stanford/Berkeley(if I can get in), but would give Manhattan living a chance
PI/gov work interested
Long run I am leaning towards Bay Area employment

I would love to go to Harvard or Stanford, or at least give myself the chance to. I was PTing at 170-176 before the June test, so I pretty much got my median, although I am slightly disappointed because I felt like I had a 175+ coming out.

Should I retake at some point? I would prefer not to give up in my slim HYS chances. My pre law advisor showed me the numbers, and the admission rate into HLS from my school in 2014 was 25% with 80 applicants.

Any advice appreciated ! Considering peace corps or Fulbright eta for the overseas experience before returning to school

Pretty close to zero chance at HYS (YS especially) with the GPA. Not sure how much retaking will help.

YS are for sure out, even if you had a 180. H takes some 3.5/176+ every year, but I'd be surprised if in asian kids are among them. You can get good money at NYU with your current stats; if 176 was your high for PT'ing I'd say you should be happy with the 173. Only retake if you're getting multiple tests with only 2 or 3 questions wrong.
