3.4x 174 what options

as the title says, my numbers are 3.4x GPA and 174 LSAT.
Maybe slightly below average softs - D1 sports, but not varsity at my university. 1 year working for a local law firm.
Fairly prestigious undergrad for whatever that's worth.

I figure I will blanket the t14 except for YSH (is Chicago worth the app fee?). Should I ED northwestern? It's not my top choice. Is there a good enough chance at offers from other lower T14 schools that would rival the full scholy from NU?
First time taking the LSAT, realativly minimal study. Tested 3 points below prep test average. I plan on retaking in October. Will a higher score make much difference at this point?

You are already above the 75th of all schools where you have a chance of getting in, I don't know what the point of a retake is. I'd ED to NU, as there's no way you get more than ~75k from any other school worth attending. Chicago is worth the app fee, though your odds are WL.

Pretty much what I figured. How might connections/legacy figure into $$$? It seems like that would mostly affect admittance, if anything at all.

I have exactly the same stats, non K-JD and started a thread where a majority of posters said retake to increase scholarship opportunities. Basically with a 3.4 everything besides HYS is in play so long as you are Mid 170s and up, according to MyLsn.info. But play around with the numbers and check out the difference between a 174 and a 177. Seems like scholarship opportunities may increase.

Probably not at all with money, could help with admissions.
