Re: 169/4.15 PLEASE HELP
Retake if you think you can score 170+
Submitting an app in september vs october will have no substantial impact
You'll have a good cycle either way, but you'll do even better with a few more points on that lsat

Agree with the above. What were your PTs like?Clemenceau wrote:Retake if you think you can score 170+

You'll get in to the majority of the T14, likely very large scholarships at the lower half.tlsnewbie wrote:Thanks for all the feedback!
I was scoring between 169-173 on my PTs but since my actual score was within this range, I'm not sure if I'll see improvement under a second round of testing conditions.
What do you think my chances are for T14? I'd love to go anywhere in the T6 but if I apply without retaking...
Edit: Assuming that your LSAC GPA is very similar to your school GPA. Calculate that and then mess around with mylsn to get an idea.

October LSAT equals late October scores, though. But either way, likely inconsequential.Clemenceau wrote:Retake if you think you can score 170+

Re: 169/4.15 Chances? Advice?
So, earlier is better. But I think the general rule of thumb is early November won't be too detrimental.tlsnewbie wrote:Wow hearsay77, thanks so much for taking the effort to find and share that information with me.
And SplitMyPants, glad to hear that retaking in October won't push me too far back in the application timeline.
Of course, you're already in a great position. It might not hurt to apply to everywhere when apps open, and then potentially followup with a higher score in between acceptances and hearing about $$$... I'd be curious to hear others' thoughts on that strategy, as I'm just thinking out loud.

I think you have a decent chance of getting a full scholarship at Cornell if you apply early. This cycle they seemed be throwing out cash to people 3.8+ GPAs with 167+ LSAT scores
