What would you predict the best school someone could get into if....

1). They have a 2.6 absymal LSAC gpa
2). solid reasons for the lower gpa (past health problems) that necessitated semesters of hospitalizations. Health problems now dissipated
3). 177 LSAT score


Do I have any chance at T 14? T 20? Interested in Corporate Law. If only Cornell was a possibility

Your best bet is getting some years of WE and applying to Northwestern

Without more information, the best recommendation that I can offer is to apply to all of the T-14 law schools & to any law schools located in the geographic region in which you want to live & work after law school. LSAT scores of 177 are not common so it's fair to assume that your application will receive serious reads.

Also, consider employment as an LSAT instructor for some additional income.

ED to NU, cornell is a possibility. Apply to everything from NYU to Georgetown, skipping Berkeley. Then add any regionals to wherever you'd like to work: UT, Vandy, UCLA, USC, Wustl (definitely apply here), Fordham, BU, BC, GW, etc.

Strong possibility:

$$ at NU, UT
$$$ at WUSTL

OK possibility:

ED at NU (full tuition)
$$ at UVA on down

Poor possibility:

NYU/Penn
Cali reigonals

I don't know about the rest, you should be in at Fordham/GW/Vandy no problems, but maybe not a lot of money. BU/BC aren't kind to splitters.

This is very misleading.

You have absolutely no chance at ED NU, Cornell, NYU or Penn. Northwestern's early decision program is designed to capture candidates who float both medians, not splitters. Penn is somewhat splitter friendly down to about 3.05-3.1. The only T14 schools that will look twice at that GPA are Georgetown, UVA and Northwestern (RD). And you aren't likely to receive much in the way of scholarship - maybe $30-45k.

Write a killer addendum, and apply as broadly as you can. Best of luck!

There's no harm EDing to NU, and OP will definitely be waitlisted but it's not impossible for him to get admitted at Duke or Cornell. I will admit that Penn/NYU aren't gonna happen, but since OP will get fee waivers at basically everywhere it'd be foolish not to apply.

I'd look into hiring Spivey if I were in your shoes OP.

There was a guy who got into Penn in the last couple years with a 2.7 and a 173, so I wouldn't say it's impossible for Penn.

I'm hoping to be in a similar boat to OP after June scores come in :p
