The only T-14s you have a good shot at are Mich and Cornell. You should definitely retake in June. Score goes up, sit out and reapply. Stays the same or lower, you should have some decent options for strong regionals (Vandy, UCLA, USC, WashU, Texas).

GPA isn't a problem...even for H you are close to their lower 25%...The only three schools I can think of where the GPA would be an issue is at YS and Boalt ( and there is no shame in not getting into Y since it is a reach school for even the strongest of applicants)

I would say right now the only thing holding you back is the LSAT...a few more points can open up a ton of doors

What about Northwestern (if he/she has work experience) and Georgetown (where he/she probably has the greatest shot of all)?

You're looking good for Cornell and Georgetown.
If you want NYU and Columbia, you have to retake.

Forgot about GULC, you are right. Below both medians at NU though. Or maybe right at gpa.

no need for two threads on this
Brut wrote:you're in that narrow band where every point actually does matter for t14
it would be 100% worth retaking even if you only bumped up to a 168

if you're open to taking a year off, take a year off
not only will more work experience help during recruiting, but getting the apps in early improves your chances, and you'll have plenty of time to study for the retake

yeah haha sorry. It's just that I discovered the "What are my chances" board after I posted on the more general board, and I felt this board was more appropriate for my question.
Thanks for answering regardless :)

Echoing the retake advice. I have a 170/3.7 and got into both Columbia and NYU - if you could hit that 170 threshold, you'd have significantly better chances.
