Hi all, curious as to what those who are familiar with current conditions think. Non-URM with work experience and military.

BC - admitted
BU - admitted with scholarship
W&L - admitted with scholarship
UVA - pending
Emory - admitted with scholarship

Thanks

Mike

Trying to stay in Virginia? Maybe apply to GWU as well; they're supposed to be vet-friendly.

If I dont get in where Im happy this cycle I will.

Originally it was looking like we might definitely be moving TO VA but that may no longer be the case. I live about 2 hours west of Boston, (did my undergrad at UMass and stayed out here) I grew up less than 5 minutes from the BC Law campus, and moving home wouldn't be the end of the world.

I am married so wherever we go needs to work for both of us. My wife is pursuing med school but isnt sure whether that will happen this year or not.

Yeah, if you feel like you should have gotten a 170+ score, sit out the cycle and come back next year. From what it sounds like, your wife will be more settled at that point.

Im going to see what this cycle gets me. I want to practice in MA ultimately so if we wind up staying up here and I get into BC/BU then I dont know what reason Id have to wait. Realistically I have no shot at Harvard and BC/BU are both great schools, especially for working in MA.

Yes im post 9/11 eligible but I am in voc rehab because my back/knee is messed up thanks to being a grunt.

Good luck. PM me if you want to talk about GI Bill stuff or working with a wife's career in medical school/residency. Ramius is IIRC in a similar situation.

Hey just updated the first post so people with similar numbers/in similar situations can hopefully get an idea as to what to expect.
