T20 UG, double major, some good finance internships from college, Mexican. Will start law school four years after UG graduation.
Do I have a shot at T6? T14?

In my opinion, I think you'll be competitive although your UG GPA is a bit low for T14. However, I think your softs (military and URM status) may put you over the top. And with the current decline with people going to law school these days I think that may also further play into your favor.

Thanks. Any other opinions?

I really don't have any other thoughts. I don't claim to be an admissions officer but I truly believe a 173 LSAT will make you competitive for an overwhelming majority of the law schools out there. But where ever you choose to enroll, make sure that you're at least getting some kind of scholarship. With your score I can't see why you cannot get one although at the T14 it make be somewhat difficult (although not out of the question). If you choose to go somewhere outside of T14 then I think it would be a forgone conclusion that an overwhelming majority of the law schools will offer you a free ride.

I would apply to the entire T14. You will get big $ somewhere cause 173, URM, regardless of your GPA. Depending on how debt adverse you are, you probably end up somewhere in the lower part of the T14, but I think CCN may be in play for sure.

Thanks. I'll have the post 9/11 GI Bill so money is a non-issue.

You'll definitely get some t14s. I'd strongly consider applying ED to UVA if I were you.

Mexican+173+military is so strong (and relatively unique). I wouldn't ED anywhere and apply everywhere.

I was trying to account for the relatively low gpa, but yeah, probably right.

Fuck.
Echoing ED to UVA. Good things coming your way, bro.
With his GPA being as low as it is, I don't necessarily see the point in spending the cycle going RD. He'd probably get Northwestern, and may even get NYU from the URM boost. I dunno. Would probably still go with ED to UVA unless there's a really compelling reason not to.

Assuming not flame (which is a big assumption to make here), I bet he'll get into one of the public T14s RD. Curious if the high GPA+military+URM might sneak him into Harvard or something

Considering that UVA takes ED applications as late as, what, March(?) OP could arguably throw in a bunch of apps now and then ED to UVA if he doesn't like his options come then.
I still think ED UVA will end up being his best option, but hey.

Thanks everyone. This has been encouraging since my GPA is so far below every T14's 25% LSAT. I'm going to apply RD across the t14, and see what happens.

Thanks, but those applicants have significantly higher GPA's. There arent many data points on LSN with as large a GPA/LSAT split as mine.

They're also not URMs.
