"No chance" is a little harsh. Engineering & Patent bar eligible applicants have been known to out-perform their numbers a bit.

166 is a weird middle ground score in between being too low and decent. Since T14 is your goal, you really should retake for better options and more scholarship money.

Yes. They don't have reportable gpa's. Canada is an exception and those gpa's are reported normally.

I'd say there's a chance. I'm sitting on a 166 (retake in Dec.) and I've been accepted into Georgetown. I'd blanket the T14 and see what sticks.

No, I'm domestic, 3.8 gpa. What worked for me were my softs, which are heavy IP focused, and yours seem to go that way too. I do have an advanced degree, which does tip the scales a bit. I don't know how much a demonstrated history in one of the few fields of law which is still hiring heavily does, but it certainly can't hurt.

With your patent-holding status, I think you have a decent shot at IP friendly T14--GULC. But I think you should definitely retake!

Unclear in OP's case, but non-US citizens generally are ineligible to sit for the US patent bar except in limited circumstances (work-related). Shouldn't matter for admission in my opinion, but you never know.

Looooong time lurker. Finally posting because I want you to be encouraged. I got a 166 twice (which was way discouraging after PTing around 172-174 but that's a long story) and have a 3.85+ GPA. I've recently been accepted to Georgetown, Michigan, UMN, and UVA and am awaiting responses from 8 more schools. So despite those who might say "no chance," you have a chance.
