How long did you prepare for the LSAT? What did you use to study?

What kind of PI are we talking about here?

I would narrow your geographic focus at least, lean toward where you have legitimately strong ties (like where you were born and raised) if possible.

Definitely retake

I studied over 4 months, used the three bibles, daily drilling with every Saturday off and I started PTing around 2 months in on every Sunday. Highest PT was 167, lowest was 160, I was consistently hitting 163-165.

I'm most interested in immigration and civil liberties, although I'm by no means confined to either of those.

You're not going to get to do "prestigious" PI with those numbers. If you want that you've gotta retake. If you want to be like a PD or something that's fine, just cop a fully at your home state's flagship law school.

Congrats on the awesome GPA.

Did you try Manhattan? The LSAT didn't really click for me until I used them. Also, were you reviewing your mistakes?

It sounds like you have good study habits down which is good.

If you can get your score to a 165-167 range (which was probably even totally doable on the test day) you would be a pretty compelling Berk applicant.

And getting to 167-169 and you would be solid for NYU.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I'm leaning toward retaking in December, my only concern is that since it's only a couple months away my prepping won't be enough to really make a big impact. I still think it would be a good idea to try and squeeze out a few more points even if the prep time isn't ideal.

Holla holla gimme dolla dolla

I'm not going to law school if it involves crippling debt, a year off if necessary won't kill me.
