I was wondering what you all thought of my odds:
I recently took the LSAT, scoring a 166. I have a 3.82 GPA from William and Mary.
EC wise, I worked for a college newspaper as a section editor for 1.5 years before developing my own news site.
I wrote an honors thesis on the basis of an economics experiment I ran senior year. The contents were published and stored by our college archives. I gave a lecture on said thesis at the Institute for Advanced Applied Derivatives , where I am a Fellow.
I gave a lecture on Hue Magnitudes and Philosophy of Color at a conference hosted by my school.
I am currently working as an Economist for the Bureau of Labor Statistics (DoL). I gather data on economic factors affecting production data, prepare narrative and graphic reports of findings, recommendations, and conclusions, and prepare special analyses to meet the needs of data users and explain significance and limitations of the data.
At the same time, I am managing partner of Crim Dell Capital, where we research time series modeling of implied volatility, simulating and forecasting mean reversion and dynamic hedging. We are also researching the benefits of genetic algorithms and Tabu Search for delta hedged and vega hedged portfolios.
I am applying at:
Harvard
Stanford
Chicago
UVA
Columbia
