I really want to go to a top 20 law school - somewhere in CA would be great.
What are my chances?

You are in a fantastic spot. UCLA is a given, BOALT is pretty close to a given. Apply to S also. Congrats and good luck.

Thank you. I'm planning to apply to all three + USC. I also wanted to apply to some out of states (H, Northwestern, Chicago). I've just been having trouble figuring out how the URM boost works for MAs - I know its less than AAs and NAs, but I wasn't sure how much less it was.

Blanket the entire T14, even if you have no desire to attend some of them. It makes a HUGE difference when it comes to negotiating scholarships. The schools you have no interest in might give you the offers you need to get more money from your top choices.

The schools all have their own formulas and don't really release them so it's hard to say, but it's significant.

thanks for the advice. i was planning to apply for most of them, but what you're saying makes sense. hopefully i can get some fee waivers to offset the application costs.

You should ask every school you plan to apply to for a fee waiver. Most will give them to you without hesitation.

Hell yes.
