3.5/171

Post by BunchOfNonsense » Mon Oct 20, 2014 1:10 am

Hello all, this is my first post. I'm curious to know WAMC at Penn, Columbia, Duke, and Berkeley. If it matters, I switched out of a science major and my GPA is being held down by extraneous chemistry classes. I've also seen several odds calculators online. Do they tend to be a bit harsh? A bit lenient?

Use LawSchoolNumbers.com to see other people like you. You can play around with the numbers and adjust by different factors - but this is essentially your odds. I'd base it off of these (taken from LSN).

Those were nearly my exact numbers last year (3.52, 171).
Rejected at Columbia
Rejected at Berkeley
Accepted at Penn
Accepted at Duke

I chose NYU and love it, fwiw.

Thanks to all of you. Just saw the TLS stats at the top of every screen. The more you know...

I've been lurking on this site close to a year and I've learned new features of the site each day.

I mostly have drawn from a hat. I'm interested in corporate law and possibly JAG.

Applying this cycle with very similar numbers. Did you get any finaid from NYU? I kind of assumed that if I were accepted it would be at sticker or near-sticker.

got $$
i applied ED, it took a ton of effort to get money and i got very lucky
it's only reasonable to assume $$ would be available to RD apps with numbers similar to mine, but the data is sparse

What range would "$$" roughly represent? Are we talking something like $45k-$75k? Is there some official scale that I'm not aware of?
